I have been in the tile business for 33 years. I started working in the tile industry at the age of 16 as a “stock boy”, as we were known in the tile world in 1978, for a large tile company that, at the time, had 10 to 15 stores in MA. After a short time with that company, I was given a full time position and became responsible for helping turn around some of their locations. In 1984, I decided to work for another local tile company and was there until 1991. It was in June of that year I decided to open my own tile store, Tiles Plus, because I realized that there was a need for a better way to shop for tile. I knew that a tile store that offered honest and helpful service, and an incredible selection was the way I wanted to run my business. To this day, I am extremely involved on the showroom floor and I enjoy using my creative and natural ability to help customers choose the look that’s right for them.

Everything I know about tile I learned growing up in this business, and I’m fortunate enough to have my dad as my teacher. I started my career a bit sooner than my dad did. At the young age of 12, I began by helping out in the Tiles Plus warehouse, part time during the school year and full time during the summer, unloading and loading orders, and calling customers when their orders came in. I didn’t earn the opportunity to wait on my first customer until I was 14, and as time went on, I became a well-informed and confident sales person, who wasn’t afraid to take on a challenge. I graduated from Ashland High School in the summer of 2005, and from 2005 to 2007, I was student at Mass Bay Community College. I continued to work here full time, while earning an Associate’s Degree in Criminal Justice. In past 10 years or so, I evolved from being a warehouse worker to a smart and skillful design consultant. Thanks Dad!

I was born in the Midwest, raised on the west coast and moved to New England 20 years ago. After nannying, schooling and banking, a friend of mine brought me into the tile/flooring business and I reluctantly agreed to give it a try when he pointed out how I "always decorate my friends' houses anyway". That was 10 years ago now, 5 of which have been with Tiles Plus More. I inherited my creativity and artistic eye from my grandfather and specialize in color and design. My favorite part of this job is listening to the customer talk about how much they love their new space and feeling a sense of pride knowing that "I helped create that".

I Graduated from Assabet Valley Vocational High School with a major in Painting and Decorating. During and after high school, I worked as a professional painter and wallpaper hanger for high end builders; which then led to my discovery of the exciting world of tile. I started in a small local tile shop that also did installation. So I learned by doing (a Yankee trait I got from my Dad and Grandmother). A week vacation to Cape Cod then turned into a 23 year career at Cloutier’s Tile Supply. I moved back to this area to be closer to family and found Tiles Plus More. I enjoy the diversity of our clients because this area brings both cultural and unique design styles together in an open environment of contemporary and traditional New England decor. I am essentially a “country girl” but I enjoy working with modern tiles to create a stylish and eclectic space.

As a Becker College graduate in Interior Design, it has always been my passion to create "practical beauty". Although my personal style is an eclectic mix of Industrial Contemporary meets rich color, I tend to gravitate towards warm grays using materials such as limestone, slate and metallic tiles. However, I enjoy working with ALL types of materials and colors. Each customer is unique; therefore finding the perfect correlation between style and functionality for your space is exciting and has been the most rewarding part of working here at Tiles Plus More.

Born and raised in the Metrowest area I graduated from Ashland High School in 2010 and attended art and fashion design classes at Framingham State University. Creativity is one of my key characteristics, these classes helped me find new ways to express my creative side. I have worked in retail sales for the past 5 years in various stores and now seem to have found my calling, much like my dad and older sister, at Tiles Plus More. I’m highly interested in fashion and design and I apply those two elements when it comes to designing and redesigning rooms. I love putting colors together as well as mixing textures. Drawing backsplash and bathroom layouts are two of my favorite projects to design.

An honor roll student, I graduated 5 months early from Natick High School. I’m currently a full-time student at Lasell College majoring in business management. I started working at Tiles Plus More part-time in July of 2010. I really enjoy working here with customers to help them design their rooms, especially bathroom walls and floors. My favorite materials to use are natural stones like marble, travertine, and granite, because I find they give the room a rich and elegant feel. I have prior retail experience and understand that each customer’s needs and styles are different, so I look forward to each challenge that is presented to me.
